What is so important about April 1, 2020? Yes, I know it was April Fool's Day, but more importantly it was Census Day.

What is all the fuss about?
As a mayor, I am 100% behind the push to get more of our residents counted. This is extremely important as we aim to get more dollars towards things that matter (like for our business community, our educational system, and other sectors of society--like even for lawmakers). I encourage strongly each resident in Capitol Heights to do our part to be counted.

Keep In Mind:
You can still be counted by calling in or submitting your info online beyond the Census Day (April 1, 2020). Census Day just means that it is simply a key day of reference. On Census Day officials will be tracking the progress (where the numbers are coming from and who is counted for up to this point.
