Ever since I can remember, I have enjoyed writing. I would write for leisure often. School required writing too--and I never found it to be an insurmountable task. Writing is just something that comes naturally to me. That and speaking in front of a crowd. I guess I am blessed in that regard. I know that the thought of having to stand in front of an audience--or the thought of having to compose some original written work--makes some people want to gag!
If you've been at all connected to me, then you know I like to write. I created a whole website whereby I could journal and write about my journey with kidney failure. If you haven't read any of those blogs, take a moment and check them out. You can go to www.TheMaldonCirculator.com (check under the Health & Fitness category). There, I have written several articles--keeping you in the loop.
This article today is to let you know that I am a published author. I published my very first work and couldn't be more excited. The book is entitled Maldon's Scripture Guide: A Practice Manual. It is a great resource for interpreters working in the Religious Setting. It addresses a lacuna that we have in the field of Sign Language interpreting. We don't have enough training and development for interpreters working in our various churches around the globe.
I hope you take a moment to check it out and purchase it in support of me (share it with your church's Deaf ministry). It will help! You can find it here www.MaldonInterpreting.com
Thank you,
Shawn
